Acid Truck Driver/Operator-TX

Drives pump truck or tanker to haul and deliver acid in a productive and safe manner to final destination for oil and gas operations. Drilling pads are often located in remote areas and drivers need to be comfortable driving in all types of weather and terrain.
Hauls acid to well sites for oil and gas operations
Pumps acid at high volume and pressures
Able to operate a acid truck safely through various types of terrain or tractor trailer
Follows guidelines and policies set forth by the Yard Manager and its customers
Pre and post trip inspections in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations (properly complete paper work and logs)
Examines the equipment and reports any necessary repairs to the supervisor and/or Maintenance Shop
Follows all safety policies and procedures, participates in all required safety training and meetings
Continuously monitors the equipment to ensure proper operation and minimal down time.
Performs and documents minor service on equipment
Ensures that equipment is properly cleaned, serviced and stored at the end of each shift.
Performs other duties as assigned
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Knowledgeable and compliant with DOT regulations
Must pass pre-employment drug testing and random drug testing.
Must be able to pass a company provided physical
Obeys all traffic laws. Reports any accident to supervisor.
Can successfully pass company's road test in a tanker which will include a proper pre and post trip inspection of the vehicles.
Able to work on a rotating shift: days/nights
Must be willing to work LONG hours

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must speak and read English proficiently as required by Federal Motor Carrier Regulations.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Current driver's license class A or B
Tanker Endorsement
HAZMAT Endorsement
Standard First Aid Certificate, acquire after date of hire
Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate, acquire after date of hire
General Oilfield Driver Improvement, acquire after date of hire

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
