Job Description
The Data Entry Specialist is directly responsible for the daily operations of the Data Entry functions that include monitoring and auditing the daily water received and sold, and correcting records in order to correctly and effectively bill customers for facilities assigned. Primary functions to focus on new areas of operations and required data entry.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily reconcile manual load sheet totals against computerized totals and scanned driver tickets.
Search through each ticket to locate the difference.
Calculate any changes to reach the correct total.
Correct and report changes to entries if needed.
Correct and report changes entries on load sheets if needed.
Communicate with supervisor about any changes that have or need to be made to a ticket.
Enter new leases, operator and transports when needed.
Troubleshoot all variances of barrels.
Research questionable well names/ownership with Texas Operations.
Communicate all program glitches/errors to Director of Business Administration.
Training of field personnel on data entry techniques/policies.
Backup phone support for field personnel regarding ticketing questions.
Responsible for adding new wells, operators and transporters.
Complete weekly scratch sheets in accordance with SOX controls.
Responsible for adding new wells and cross checking information with Texas Railroad Commission website.
Regular attendance at the worksite is required.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in Excel required.
Knowledge of MS Office programs: word processing, basic spreadsheet and database maintenance.
Detailed oriented.
Good organizational skills.
Good math skills, ability to be detailed oriented.
Good interpersonal skills; able to work with different departments and with various levels of company personnel.
Demonstrates initiative and is self-motivated.
Must be a team player.
Ability to be a positive representative of the Company both internally and externally.
Ability to work with respect and cooperation at all times with fellow employees and customers.
Must be committed to working safely at all times.
Experience/Education:
High school diploma / GED or equivalent experience is required. Some college preferred.
2 to 4 years of administrative experience required.
Travel:
Negligible travel required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
